The name Dry Stack is a nod to our location in the bluegrass state of Kentucky. If you've traveled the country-side of our Commonwealth, you've noticed the beautiful stone fences that dot our landscape. These "dry stack" fences were built by master stone masons who immigrated to Kentucky in the early 19th century. These stone fences were constructed using a technique in which no mortar is used, thus the name dry stack fences.
